We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join our pioneering team at the Stratos plant, the world's largest Direct Air Capture (DAC) facility. Your Mission as Our Instrumentation & Electrical Technician

In this pivotal role, you will be the technical expert responsible for ensuring the operational integrity and reliability of all instrumentation and electrical systems at our state-of-the-art DAC facility. Your precision and expertise will be critical to maintaining the continuous and safe operation of a plant that is capturing carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere.

Core Responsibilities: Where Your Skills Will Make an Impact

As the Instrumentation & Electrical Technician, your key duties will include:

  • Maintaining the protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate as our highest priority.

  • Installing, maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all plant instrumentation, control systems, analyzers, and electrical equipment.

  • Conducting prompt and accurate diagnosis of issues and implementing effective corrective actions, consulting directly with equipment vendors when necessary.

  • Utilizing a variety of shop tools, test equipment, measuring devices, and hand tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks to the highest standards.

  • Performing evaluation tests on critical components such as control valves, motors, and various transmitters.

  • Troubleshooting a wide range of electrical systems, from 120-volt AC controls and 480-volt motors and switchgear to 4160-volt equipment.

  • Researching technical specifications for materials, testing procedures, and the repair of complex instrumentation and electrical equipment.

The Qualifications We Require

Required Education & Experience:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Either:

    • Five years of process instrumentation and electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting, OR

    • Two years of relevant industrial maintenance experience plus an Associate's Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Technology.

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Must be proficient in troubleshooting using loop drawings, schematics, ladder logic, electrical one-line diagrams, and P&ID drawings.

  • Proven expertise in maintaining process control loops, electronic controls, pneumatic and electronic valves, and various transmitters.

  • This position requires proof of a nationally recognized certification, such as the NCCER (electrical and/or instrumentation preferred), prior to employment.

  • High proficiency in standard Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.

  • The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Physical & Schedule Requirements:

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and respond to call-outs on a non-routine basis.

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and perform walking, bending, and stooping as required.

  • Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment, including the use of a respirator, and must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
